When we feel stress, trauma and overwhelm, we often disconnect and disassociate from our bodies. This is a natural form of defense and protection.
In a world with increasing stress and triggers, we can walk around feeling perpetually unsafe and disconnected from our bodies. We may feel numb or like we are constantly fighting. We can lose touch with who we truly are in these states.
Embodiment practices such as Yoga and Moving Meditation are a way to safely come back into the body, and to feel and process your experiences in a healthy way.
In this workshop, Vanessa will guide you through a powerful and opening Kundalini Kriya to allow you to awaken and attune to your body and inner self. After Vanessa’s opening, guest teacher Adarsh (from Los Angeles) will introduce you to a form of moving meditation, called Celestial Communication/ Movements of Grace.
This form of moving meditation is so effective because music allows you to connect with your emotions safely, movement allows the emotions to move like energy in motion through the body, and mantra frees you from the grip of stress and brings you into a deeper reverence of the emotion.
This is a complete mind, body and spirit activity, and a way of meditating you may never have experienced before. This practice can feel like it slows down time and it gives you a space to see who you are, understand your experience with compassion, and to release, heal, and to renew hope and joy.
