As a child, I imagine that you were naturally creative — maybe you built forts, enjoyed drawing and coloring, or made up stories, dances and songs. Trying new things and making mistakes is how you learned. Exploring through play also allowed you to express your desires, emotions, and sense of self.

As an adult, do you still feel as creative? Or, does creativity get put on the shelf while you attend to the necessary tasks and duties of life? As we age, we can be less inclined to do things we aren’t “good” at and it can be easy to delegate creativity to the professionals—those on stages, on screens, or in galleries. We often watch more than we create. Yet, creativity is essential to your humanness. It’s how we innovate, see the world with fresh perspectives, and continue to grow and evolve.

This is why creativity is so important.

Creativity gives us the courage to face the unknown, break through limitations, and imagine new possibilities. The great solutions we need on our planet right now will come from creativity. Creativity can unlock solutions we haven’t yet dreamed of. Even small acts of creativity spark resilience and prepare us to tackle bigger challenges.

Why Creativity Matters:

  • Inspiration & Perspective : New ideas and fresh approaches naturally emerge through creativity. It gives us more sensitivity to ourselves and others. It broadens how we see ourselves and the world.

  • Communication & Expression: Creativity includes verbal and non-verbal communication. It provides less literal ways to explore meaning and authentic expression. Words become poetry and thoughtful storytelling. Visual art communicates without words, as does dance and music.

  • Emotional Growth & Resilience: Emotions are often feared or suppressed. Creativity gives an outlet to process our emotions and it supports acceptance and understanding. When art is shared, we feel less alone. Creativity is good for both the heart and the mind. It allows for more flexible thinking and the ability to flow better with the complexities of life.

At the heart of my work is Celestial Communication—sacred moving meditation. This unique practice taps into our creativity and life force, allowing each of us to create something deeply personal and powerful. Every Celestial Communication is different, a beautiful reflection of the person creating it, along with the music, mantra or poetry. It allows us to express our emotions—grief, joy, and everything in between—through movement.

Connecting with your creativity is one of the best gifts you can give yourself, even if it feels uncertain or intimidating. Creativity lives in the unknown, but it’s where possibility and growth reside. You don’t need to know what your creation will look like—you will discover it through play, movement, and exploration.

With love & creativity,
Adarsh

"I believe that everyone has a creative essence to share. The more we cultivate this expression, in whatever form, the more harmony we will create on this planet. Through creativity, we will discover new solutions and ways of being that serve humanity, ecology, and the cosmic divine." ~ Adarsh
